The invention of the volt cell changed the face of electricity, providing scientists with a durable source of current and driving the development of electrical research.<\/p>\n<p>The main contributor to lithium-ion batteries is John Goodenough. Goodenough is a Nobel laureate in chemistry and is known as the &#8216;father of lithium-ion batteries&#8217;. He discovered key materials in the 1980s that made rechargeable batteries more stable and powerful.
